Electronics Repair Technician

As a result of our clients' continued success and growth, they now require an electronic repair technician to join their team.

Primarily based in our workshop, your core role will include, amongst other things, the day-to-day repair of Printed Circuit Boards, Inverters, PLCs and HMIs from a wide variety of manufacturers. Of course, because of our wide customer base, we also get in unique and interesting things to repair. We hope that you enjoy a challenge!

Ideally, you will have a proven track record of being in an electronic repair role, with a good knowledge of the repair equipment required to carry out the role.

Essential:

• Experience in electronic repair and fault finding on PCBs and associated equipment
• Be able to understand and follow electronic drawing schematics.
• Test and identify faulty components on PCBs, using test equipment
• Remove and replace electronic components
• Power test PCBs and equipment where possible, to ensure successful repairs
• Have good communication skills and be able to liaise with clients and other engineering and production colleagues.
• Have good organisational and planning skills to ensure that tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner.

Desirable:

• experience with programming and designing with the Arduino platform
• experience with electrical design packages (EPLAN, SEE Electrical, Proteus etc.).
• Build and diagnose issues with PCs and computer equipment
• Create schematics and PCB designs using the above-mentioned packages
• Experience in 3D Modelling packages (Fusion 360 etc.)
• To be able to travel, occasionally, to client premises to install and test repaired equipment
